Pre-Production Samples

A Pre-production Sample is a printed sample of your packaging using actual production facilities. It provides an accurate representation of the final product and is the best option if you need to ensure the exact outcome of your packaging before placing a bulk order. Keep in mind that Pre-production Samples are more expensive than other sample types as they involve a full production run for a single unit of packaging.

What's Included

A Pre-production Sample uses the actual production facilities, so it can include all of the features that will be present in your final order, such as finishes, coatings, and special effects.

Deliverables

For each Pre-production Sample, you will receive:

Process & Timeline

Generally, Pre-production Samples take 9-13 days to complete and 7-10 days to ship.

1. Specify requirements

Select the packaging category of your choice and specify the details such as dimensions, material, and other specifications.

2. Place order

Submit your request for a sample order and complete the full payment to initiate the process.

3. Create dieline (2-3 days)

We'll provide you with a dieline, which is a template of the packaging structure, that you can use to add your artwork.

4. Send artwork

Apply your artwork to the provided dieline and submit it to us for verification.

Create sample (4-5 days)

The sample will be produced according to the specifications that have been mutually agreed upon.

Ship sample (7-10 days)

We will provide you with photographs of the completed sample and send the physical sample to the address you have specified.

*Note: we offer structural samples of custom box inserts, provided that you can provide us with a dieline of the insert. If you don't have a dieline for your insert, we can assist you with our structural design service to create one.

Reimbursement Policy

Here are the terms for reimbursement of the Pre-production Sample fee, if you place a production order with identical specifications and artwork designs to the Pre-production Sample you ordered:

Reimbursement	Criteria
50% of the sample fee	Minimum order value of EU XXX (excluding shipping) per packaging type, or volume of 1000 units per packaging type.
100% of the sample fee	Minimum order value of EU XXX (excluding shipping) per packaging type, or volume of 2500 units per packaging type.

Suppose you have bought two identical Pre-production Samples; in that case, you will need to fulfill the reimbursement criteria twice to get a full reimbursement for both samples.

Revisions & Redesigns

Please ensure that the specifications and artwork designs of your Pre-production Sample are exactly what you want before placing your order. Any changes in scope or artwork after the sample has been created may incur additional costs.
